So 2012 is over. Noodles! Noodles. Noodles to say a lot of what happened took me by surprise. I would have never anticipated a quarter of what took place in 2012: experientially, emotionally and mentally. This will definitely be a year to remember.
I’ve made a lot of mistakes. There were victories, losses, skirmishes and all out wars. In between the chaos are snippets of celebrations and dancing. Lots and lots of dancing. I’m not sure what the implications of this year will have on 2013. In any case, I’ve learned a lot about others and myself. Change about this year, of that I’m sure. Focus, focus, focus. Love fiercely and fearlessly. Live loud and strong. Meditate, exercise and eat well. Sleep. Take time to figure things out. Never let it happen again. Love much. Live much.
I hope that in this year to come, you make mistakes.
Because if you are making mistakes, then you are making new things, trying new things, learning, living, pushing yourself, changing yourself, changing your world. You’re doing things you’ve never done before, and more importantly, you’re Doing Something.
So that’s my wish for you, and all of us, and my wish for myself. Make New Mistakes. Make glorious, amazing mistakes. Make mistakes nobody’s ever made before. Don’t freeze, don’t stop, don’t worry that it isn’t good enough, or it isn’t perfect, whatever it is: art, or love, or work or family or life.
Whatever it is you’re scared of doing, Do it.
Make your mistakes, next year and forever.
